Major Roberson

Long time Pilgrim Jubilees’ member Major Roberson died last night. Major was the baritone singer with the Jubes. He also, for many years, served as the group’s booking manager. Before joining the Jubes, he was a member of The Glorybound Singers and The Bells of Zion. Major was also a prolific songwriter. He wrote numerous songs for the group and other singers. The late Willie Neal Johnson noted Major’s writing abilities in the song “All In My Room,” on the Keynotes’ CD titled Help Me To Be Strong.
